Business Development Manager - Insurance

About the role

Marsh Romania is looking for a Business Development Manager to join its Business Development team in Bucharest. The role is hybrid, with at least three days a week spent in the office. You will drive growth in the insurance sector through innovative B2B sales strategies, working closely with the Commercial Leader to design and run sales initiatives across product lines.

Key responsibilities

• Build and nurture strategic relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
• Represent Marsh at industry events, corporate gatherings and networking forums
• Design and run sales plans that generate leads and qualify opportunities on monthly, quarterly and semi-annual cycles
• Manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process and ensure timely, compelling submissions
• Use analytics to forecast sales, monitor KPIs and measure results
• Run discovery meetings, presentations and strategic planning sessions with clients
• Maintain client records and use Salesforce.com for client interactions
• Handle objections and achieve individual annual sales targets set by the Commercial Leader
• Report sales and productivity insights to leadership

Required profile

• Proven B2B sales success with at least 5 years' experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive or similar
• Solid understanding of the insurance industry and a proven sales track record
• Excellent written and spoken English; native Romanian speaker
• BSc/BA in Business Administration, Sales or a related field
• Established industry connections with sales potential
• Valid driving licence
