Accountant (m/f/d) – Romania Plant

About the role

DEHN, an international family-owned company based in Neumarkt, Germany, is planning a new site in Pitești, Romania, with an expected workforce of around 150 people. It is looking for a skilled Accountant (m/f/d) to perform financial activities for its Romanian plant, with a focus on efficiency and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and perform account reconciliations
• Process invoices, payments and expense reports
• Coordinate VAT and other tax declarations in line with Romanian legislation, together with the tax consultant
• Analyse operating results against budget plans and forecasts
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
• Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives

Required profile

• Proven experience as an accountant (minimum 5 years); manufacturing experience is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Knowledge of Romanian accounting standards and tax regulations
• Fluent English and Romanian, written and spoken; German is a plus
• Strong problem-solving, communication and analytical skills, with a proactive, structured approach
