Workday Service Delivery Consultant (French-speaking)

About the role

Mercer is looking for a Workday Service Delivery Consultant with French to join its Digital Service Managers team in Cluj-Napoca. Working closely with an Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for one or more client accounts. This hybrid role combines Workday functional expertise with contract and service management: you ensure deliverable quality and contractual fulfilment, resolve most requests independently and engage senior specialists for complex topics.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure contractual commitments are met.
• Manage monthly billing: track time, validate invoices and handle billing queries or disputes.
• Qualify and triage client requests, check completeness, assess impact and route or escalate as needed.
• Handle the majority of Workday configuration, maintenance and enhancement requests.
• Coordinate client acceptance testing and production migrations, and engage specialist consultants for complex topics.
• Own one or more client accounts in support mode: run client committees, provide activity reporting, advise clients and identify evolving needs.
• Promote Mercer's complementary consulting and service offerings, apply Mercer methodologies and best practices, capture and share knowledge, and escalate sensitive issues per governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Audit, Payroll, Information Systems or a related field.
• Experience in HR, Payroll and/or support management, preferably in an HRIS/ERP environment.
• Fluent English and French are required.
• Ability to work independently, within a team and remotely.

Required skills

• Ability to understand client needs and HR processes and translate them into Workday configuration.
• Basic project management and HR solution deployment knowledge.
• Strong client focus, rigor, communication and analytical skills.
• Nice to have: hands-on Workday configuration, reporting and integration experience, Workday certifications, client account management experience, and experience coordinating onshore/offshore or cross-functional teams.
