Senior Site Reliability Engineer – Cloud Team

About the role

Garmin is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join its Cloud Team in Cluj-Napoca. You will help build and operate Garmin Private Cloud, an internal OpenStack‑based platform that powers key Garmin services.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain production environment integrity and manage releases.
• Lead process improvements across the software lifecycle and release pipeline.
• Provide training on operational processes and automation.
• Design and implement reliability enhancements, monitoring, and incident‑response playbooks.
• Collaborate with development teams to promote a shift‑left reliability culture.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Positive, team‑oriented attitude.

Required skills

• Public cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP.
• Container orchestration: Kubernetes.
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Maven, GitLab, Nexus, RunDeck.
• Scripting: Python, Groovy.
• Infrastructure as Code: Ansible, Terraform, Salt, Chef, Puppet.
• Linux system administration.
