Senior Global Payroll Specialist

About the role

In this position you will help ensure the accuracy, compliance and scalability of Axon’s global payroll operations. You will work within a high‑performing payroll team to support domestic and international payroll processes while maintaining data integrity and meeting regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support preparation and processing of global payrolls, including regular and off‑cycle runs.
• Validate payroll data, perform reconciliations and resolve issues.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and external providers for quarter‑end and year‑end reporting and compliance.
• Assist in preparing payroll and benefits‑related journal entries in line with accounting standards.
• Respond to internal and external audit requests with timely documentation.
• Collaborate with HR, Benefits and Finance to manage leave of absence tracking and payroll‑related benefit impacts.
• Process employee changes with HR Business Partners, ensuring compliance with local tax and labor regulations.
• Serve as point of contact for employee payroll inquiries, providing professional support.
• Assist with payroll administration for expatriate and international assignments.
• Contribute to payroll projects, including process improvements, system enhancements and documentation updates.

Required profile

• Experience in payroll processing or a related function.
• Exposure to international payroll is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret and validate payroll data.
• Foundational accounting knowledge or experience supporting payroll accounting processes.
• High attention to detail with focus on accuracy and compliance.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables and lookups.
• Experience with Workday or similar HRIS/payroll systems.
• Understanding of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to identify process improvements and drive efficiency.
