Senior Business Planning & Reporting Analyst

About the role

Marsh is looking for a Senior Business Planning & Reporting Analyst for its Marsh Tech hub, based in Cluj. The role designs and produces management information reports, analyses benefits performance and helps shape budgets aligned with Marsh Tech's strategy. It works with the Marsh Tech Leadership team, the ePMO and the Finance Business team, and requires at least three days a week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Produce project financial forecasts, measure performance against budgets and report key variances.
• Create financial analysis and models supporting key findings and strategic goals.
• Build, monitor and distribute periodic reports for senior management and manage data and management information requests.
• Work with program teams to understand benefits profiles and create dashboards tracking benefits.
• Prepare reporting materials for Executive Board reviews and steering committees using Power BI, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Manage the approval process for new Statements of Work and purchase orders to keep projects within budget.
• Improve data quality, standardise data and drive better analytics, and document processes with operational teams.
• Communicate management information internally and promote correct use of systems and data collection.

Required profile

• BA or BS degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or Mathematics preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in a consulting, financial or highly analytical role.
• Understanding of finance functions, including reporting, financial control, budgeting, forecasting and benefits management.
• Ability to work autonomously, in a fast-paced environment, and to influence senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Significant experience with Excel and strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Data interrogation, modelling and complex spreadsheet work.
• Data presentation and stakeholder engagement.
