Risk Data Officer - Processing and Operational Risk

About the role

ING Hubs Romania, part of ING's Non-Financial Risk domain, is looking for a Risk Data Officer for its Operational Risk Management (ORM) team. The role focuses on Processing Error Risk and PARP (Product Approval and Review Process) and acts as a bridge between Non-Financial Risk experts, business stakeholders and reporting or data specialists. It reports to the Lead Operational Risk in Hubs Romania and functionsally to the Lead of the CoE's Operational, Fraud and Physical Security Risk in Amsterdam.

Key responsibilities

• Help set policies and challenge control standards and frameworks with the NFR Framework & Control team
• Monitor Processing Error Risk and PARP risk across the bank, turning data into actionable insights
• Translate risk and reporting requirements into clear specifications for reporting teams and identify trends and emerging risks
• Drive consistency and standardization of reporting, reduce reporting effort through automation and streamlined data flows, and increase the value of Processing Risk data for management decisions
• Oversee that reporting is effective and compliant and that the framework is adhered to
• Lead and take part in deep dives and reviews on Processing Risk and PARP, support local NFR teams and escalate material risks
• Oversee NFRD reporting for ORM Processing Risk across Bank, Wholesale Banking, Retail Banking and local entities, and produce analytical deep dives and trend analyses
• Define the reporting book of work, support projects building the processing data landscape, and monitor regulatory developments

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Econometrics, Engineering, Business Administration, Risk Management, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics or similar
• Experience in reporting, analytics, risk management, compliance, audit or a related discipline
• Experience analysing large datasets and turning them into actionable business insights
• Advanced operational risk management knowledge; banking knowledge is a plus
