Process Lead

About the role

The Process Lead will define, implement and continuously improve production processes in line with international best practices and Damen's operational requirements. You will ensure consistent application of process standards across the shipyard while collaborating with upstream, downstream and support functions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, design and optimise manufacturing processes to boost efficiency, productivity, quality and operational performance.
• Define and maintain process workflows, resources, tools, documentation and performance indicators.
• Monitor KPIs, identify root causes of recurring issues and drive continuous improvement using Lean, Value Stream Mapping and other best‑practice methodologies.
• Develop and implement quality control methods in line with project documentation and international standards.
• Audit processes, validate documentation, qualifications, tools and equipment, and manage corrective actions for non‑conformities.
• Maintain the Process Manual and support workforce capability development through training needs analysis.
• Provide technical and operational support to managers and supervisors, resolving process‑related issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a naval or technical field.
• Experience in the naval sector and in piping processes within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of process optimisation and continuous improvement.
• Strong decision‑making, responsibility and communication skills.
• Advanced English (spoken and written) and ability to work under stress.
• Professional efficiency in meeting deadlines.
