Junior Project Designer - Formwork Solutions

About the role

Doka Romania, part of the Umdasch Group, is building the Engineering Service Center EU Romania, a new engineering hub providing design and technical support to Doka organizations across Europe. As a Junior Project Designer you will work with engineering, sales and operations teams from European Doka organizations to develop safe, efficient and cost-optimized formwork solutions, from the start of your engineering career.

Key responsibilities

• Design formwork and shoring solutions for international construction projects
• Develop technical drawings and 3D models, preferably in Revit or other engineering tools
• Analyze project documentation and technical requirements
• Prepare material lists and technical project documentation
• Perform engineering calculations and ensure compliance with standards and safety requirements
• Optimize designs for cost, material quantities and equipment use
• Support local Doka subsidiaries, take part in project meetings and share best practices with international teams
• Maintain accurate project documentation and contribute to engineering standards

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or similar
• Up to 3 years of professional experience
• Good English communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented and organized
• Comfortable in an international environment, proactive and deadline-driven

Required skills

• AutoCAD (mandatory)
• Preferred: Revit, BIM environments and Microsoft Office Suite
• Preferred: reading structural and reinforcement drawings, construction mechanics and statics
• Knowledge of Doka Formwork Systems is a strong advantage but not mandatory
