Junior Data Specialist

About the role

Macrobond provides global economic and financial data and technology for investment professionals, with headquarters in London and offices in Gothenburg, Malmö, Poland, Lisbon, Hong Kong and New York. As the company grows, it is adding to its support team and is looking for a Junior Data Specialist in Cluj. You will maintain and expand macroeconomic content in the Macrobond application.

Key responsibilities

• Perform timely data updates with a strong focus on quality
• Filter and scrub data to identify patterns and correct data problems
• Communicate with sources so that data remains at a high standard
• Find and define opportunities to improve work processes, including data automation and structuring
• Extend data coverage in line with Macrobond's data intake standards
• Work with the Customer Support team to answer customer questions
• Cooperate with colleagues and your team manager

Required profile

• University degree, preferably in economics, statistics, finance or a similar field
• Experience with macroeconomic, financial or other data is a big asset
• Advanced English; other languages are valuable but not mandatory
• Attention to detail and an analytical mind
• Well-developed online research skills
• Willingness to work shifts

Required skills

• Good practical knowledge of MS Excel
• Data cleaning and filtering
