Java Developer (Microservices, Spring Boot, Angular)

About the role

Coface Technologies, a software development centre of the Coface Group, is hiring a Java Developer in its Bucharest office. The role leads the design and development of microservices architecture for new projects, works with Solution Analysts, Architects and infrastructure teams, and reports to the Software Team Lead/Manager. It is a hybrid position.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of microservices architecture for new projects
• Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery
• Explore and implement cutting-edge technologies while ensuring high performance and scalability
• Maintain code quality through rigorous reviews and best practices
• Develop and optimize technical workflows and user interfaces
• Contribute to test automation and continuous integration
• Mentor junior developers and share knowledge
• Report progress and challenges to the Software Team Lead/Manager

Required profile

• Proficiency in Java 17+ and Spring Boot for scalable microservices
• Familiarity with Angular (latest version) for responsive web interfaces
• Relational database design and optimized SQL queries on large datasets
• English verbal and written communication; cross-border collaboration in teams in France
• Agile mindset focused on clean code, performance and continuous improvement

Required skills

• Java 21, Spring Boot, Angular, Spring Cloud Gateway, Keycloak, Redis, SQL Server
• GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Tanzu, AWS
• Monitoring and observability tools such as Instana, SonarQube, Grafana and Kibana
• Nice to have: GitLab CI pipelines, AWS deployment experience, Redis caching, Keycloak IAM
