IT Systems Engineer – Kubernetes & Cloud

About the role

Marsh is looking for an IT Systems Engineer with strong cloud expertise to manage and support Kubernetes infrastructure in a high‑availability environment. You will work closely with development, DevOps and security teams to ensure the platform is reliable, scalable and secure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on operational support for Kubernetes clusters and related platform services.
• Manage incidents, service requests and changes through shared operational queues.
• Troubleshoot platform issues, perform cluster maintenance, upgrades and configuration changes.
• Support container technologies, certificate management and platform monitoring.
• Maintain clear documentation of configurations, changes and operational procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in data‑center operations, systems engineering or a similar hands‑on infrastructure role.
• Intermediate to advanced networking knowledge, including VLANs, routing and SAN networking.
• Practical experience with server/storage installation, racking, cabling and hardware lifecycle procedures.

Required skills

• Kubernetes cluster operations and container orchestration.
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Scripting/automation (Bash, Python, Go).
• Security concepts (RBAC, network policies, secrets management).
• Logging solutions (Fluentd, Logstash, Loki).
• CI/CD tools familiarity (Jenkins, GitLab).
