iOS Software Engineer – Marine Applications

About the role

Garmin is looking for iOS Software Engineers to develop innovative marine applications such as Active Captain and Striker Cast. The role involves creating robust, user‑friendly solutions for navigation, boat control, and sonar technology.

Key responsibilities

• Review complex tasks for technical soundness and accuracy.
• Improve existing software and develop new modules within the Marine ecosystem.
• Manage overlapping project priorities and meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with Garmin associates and act as Feature Owner for Marine initiatives.

Required profile

• 3+ years of iOS development experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a small team.
• BSc in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Xcode.
• Object‑Oriented Programming, data structures and algorithms.
• Objective‑C, Android, C++ (nice to have).
• Bluetooth/BLE stack experience (nice to have).
• Agile methodology knowledge (nice to have).
