Functional Owner - Telematics

About the role

HARMAN Automotive is looking for a new Functional Owner in the Telematics domain, based in Bucharest. The role technically leads and coordinates the work to monitor and safeguard the required features within Telematics projects, acting as main contact for the SW-PL and Functional Domain Leaders. It involves planning, controlling and monitoring tasks and work-product integration, and leading the team members assigned to the domain.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, control and monitor all tasks for the assigned domain and track the integration of related software modules into the project
• Analyze and clarify requirements, interfaces, architecture and timelines with the customer, other Harman domains and suppliers
• Support project leads in evaluating requirements and change requests, and report status to the SW project lead and management
• Manage problem and issue tickets for the domain and support proof-of-concept activities if needed
• Ensure compliance with Harman internal and customer engineering processes (e.g. Automotive SPICE) and methods (e.g. SAFe)

Required profile

• University degree (MSc/BSc)
• At least 5 years of experience in embedded systems, preferably in automotive
• At least 8 years of relevant software development experience (OOA, OOD, OOP)
• Experience coordinating engineering teams and working with external customers or OEMs
• Hybrid model: 3 days per week in the Bucharest office

Required skills

• Very good knowledge of automotive system and software engineering
• Good English; bonus points for knowledge of Infotainment/Telematics systems
• Bonus: C/C++, Linux, UML, JIRA, Confluence, ALM, DOORS, V-Model, ASPICE, SAFe
