Full Stack Developer – Java & Azure (Backend-Focused)

About the role

As a member of PwC’s Enterprise Data Platform team in Bucharest, you will design and develop robust, scalable backend services and integrations that support internal and external stakeholders. The role is primarily focused on Java development within a Microsoft Azure environment, with occasional contributions to frontend work using React and TypeScript.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain high‑quality Java backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Develop containerised micro‑services with Spring Boot and manage serverless solutions on Azure.
• Write unit, integration and end‑to‑end tests and ensure comprehensive technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, UX designers and the Architecture team to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews and continuous improvement of existing applications.
• Explore Azure AI capabilities to add intelligent features to services.

Required profile

• Higher education degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on Java backend development experience.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and cloud concepts.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
