Finance Manager Romania

About the role

Haier is looking for a Finance Manager for its Romanian commercial subsidiary, based in Bucharest. You will oversee the financial operations of the company, ensure compliance with financial regulations and provide strategic financial guidance to the local commercial management team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and approve yearly financial statements according to IFRS and local GAAPs for the Romanian entity.
• Prepare monthly reporting packages for HQ including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Manage accounting in coordination with the external accounting provider.
• Handle tax declarations for direct and indirect taxation, including specific local requirements.
• Coordinate salary calculations and monthly statutory postings with the external company.
• Manage managerial reporting, ad-hoc analysis on sales and profitability, and regular variance analysis.
• Manage periodic budgeting and forecasting for the legal entity.
• Collaborate closely with the Commercial General Manager and the local commercial team to support decision-making.
• Directly manage two subordinates.
• Manage relations with external stakeholders such as auditors, customs and public offices.
• Run credit control: monitor customer payments, assess credit risk, ensure timely collections and mitigate overdue receivables.
• Reconcile accounts receivable and payable and resolve discrepancies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g. CPA, CFA) is a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience in a finance management role.
• Fluency in English and Romanian.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
