Electrical Safety Engineer – Product Regulatory Compliance

About the role
Airbus Defence and Space is seeking an Electrical Safety Engineer to join its Product Regulatory Compliance (PRC) team in Bucharest. You will lead electrical safety compliance activities, ensuring that products meet the European Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and related harmonised standards, and support CE marking efforts.
Key responsibilities
- Validate electrical designs against LVD and EN/IEC standards.
- Create and execute electrical testing protocols.
- Analyse test results and propose risk‑mitigation measures.
- Perform hands‑on electrical tests in the field and coach other engineers.
- Document compliance artefacts and maintain the PRC record.
Required profile
- Engineering degree with at least 3 years of experience in electrical engineering (design or field operations).
- Strong understanding of the Low Voltage Directive and harmonised EN/IEC standards.
- Proactive safety mindset and ability to assess technical risks.
- Effective communication skills to convey compliance solutions to product teams.
