Consolidation Specialist (m/f/d)

About the role

You will support the accurate and timely execution of BASF’s group financial consolidation process for monthly, quarterly and annual closings, ensuring a fully auditable consolidation trail as the company prepares for an independent agricultural business.

Key responsibilities

• Apply consolidation rules, review submissions from service units and local finance teams, and follow up on deviations.
• Analyze and resolve intercompany mismatches, foreign currency translation issues, and IFRS‑related topics, escalating complex cases.
• Support system tests, configuration updates and implementation of new consolidation functionalities.
• Assist cross‑functional initiatives such as reorganisations, carve‑outs, acquisitions and process transformations by preparing accounting impact analyses.
• Perform variance analyses, prepare documentation for auditors and other stakeholders, and ensure data quality and transparency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in group consolidation, financial reporting or audit within an IFRS environment.
• Strong analytical mindset, structured and accurate working style, and good communication skills.
• Fluent English and ability to collaborate with stakeholders across functions.
