C# Software Engineer (Systems & Automation)

About the role

You will build, fix, and connect the software that runs the company, replacing manual paper and Excel processes with efficient .NET applications. You will work closely with machine operators and office staff to digitise daily tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop C# applications to automate data entry and replace paper forms across all departments.
• Modernise legacy internal software by upgrading to .NET 8+ versions.
• Create APIs and integrations so shop‑floor data, ERP, and office tools communicate automatically.
• Design and maintain SQL Server databases to ensure accurate, accessible data.
• Troubleshoot and quickly fix issues in existing internal tools to keep production running.

Required profile

• Enjoy writing code that solves real problems rather than focusing on abstract architecture.
• Comfortable visiting the shop floor to see how software is used in practice.
• Ability to transform unoptimised processes into logical, digital workflows.
• Awareness of compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity.

Required skills

• C# / .NET (1–4 years professional experience, ASP.NET Core).
• SQL Server and strong SQL query optimisation.
• Frontend development using Razor, React or Angular.
• API development and JSON data handling.
• Daily use of Git (GitHub or GitLab).
