Business Controller - Tech Infra

About the role

ING Hubs Romania, a software development and service hub for 24 ING units worldwide, is looking for a Business Controller to strengthen the Finance Business Advice team of its Tech Infra department. The role supports the Global Head of Infra and Infra Tribe Leads in the Netherlands, acting as a trusted financial advisor to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure correct and timely financial closing of cost centers and report on their performance to stakeholders, including Infra MT members.
• Help keep financial plans aligned with client demand, funding needs for new services and projects, and ING's overall strategy, while challenging prioritisation and efficiency.
• Carry out complex analyses and present them clearly, linking business/IT and finance topics for stakeholders.
• Act as a financial expert in strategic projects on an ad-hoc basis.
• Support the Tech Infra finance organisation in managing the balance sheet, global IT contracts and other cross-tribe tasks.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience.
• Interest in controlling the expense base and in working with numbers.
• Curious attitude and willingness to learn; knowledge of IT and controlling IT costs is mandatory.
• Preferred: a master's degree in finance, engineering or information services, experience in a financial advice position, and experience turning complex data into clear advice.
• Excellent verbal and written English.

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
• Power BI is a plus.
