Business Controller - Global Technology

About the role

As Business Controller - Global Technology within ING's Global Finance team, you will prepare high-quality management information for Finance & Risk, Retail Banking & Technology and the Chief Information Security Office, supporting the management of a technology cost base of around €300 million. You will work alongside senior controllers and international stakeholders, based at ING Hubs Romania.

Key responsibilities

• Review actuals and validate the month-end close
• Deliver management reporting with evidence-based commentary on performance, variances, risks and opportunities
• Challenge assumptions and give actionable financial insights to Finance and CTO stakeholders
• Own recurring and ad hoc financial control deliverables
• Identify and resolve financial risks, data inconsistencies, control gaps and improvement opportunities
• Support SOX reporting and analysis with accurate, audit-ready data
• Execute budget transfers between entities
• Forecast and present the monthly report for the department within Tech F&R - Finance & Procurement

Required profile

• 5-7+ years of experience in financial controlling, planning and analysis
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Information Services, Economics, Business Administration or a related field
• CPA, CMA, CFA or a master's degree is preferred
• Knowledge of IT and controlling IT costs is mandatory
• Experience in complex, global matrix environments; exposure to technology, shared services, banking or multinationals is preferred
