BSP Software Engineer – Telematics

About the role

HARMAN Automotive is looking for a BSP Software Engineer in Bucharest to complete a BSP driver and Linux Kernel software for Telematics products. The engineer works on audio systems and integrated technology platforms that enhance the driving experience, advancing in-vehicle infotainment, safety, efficiency and enjoyment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and design BSP software.
• Bring up the ED/DV/PV board during the development cycle.
• Port drivers for library support, RTOS and Linux.
• Support the hardware team with EMC testing and similar tasks.
• Provide essential support to customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electronics, computer science, automation, physics or a similar field.
• 3+ years of C/C++ programming experience on Linux or other embedded systems.
• Experience with Linux or RTOS kernel and driver development.
• Ability to collaborate across a globally diverse team, with good communication and presentation skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with ARM architecture and modem SoCs such as Qualcomm, Samsung and MediaTek.
• Linux or RTOS kernel and driver development.
• Nice to have: Linux performance optimization, hypervisors (KVM, XEN, QNX), CAN/LIN driver development and CANoe/VSPY tools.
• Nice to have: automotive industry and TS16949/QS9000 experience, and open-source participation.
