Senior Mechatronic Design Engineer – Semiconductor Automation

About the role

Bosch Group in Blaj is looking for a Senior Mechatronic Design Engineer to lead the design of mechatronic sub‑assemblies for semiconductor automation equipment. You will be responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through to serial production, ensuring high‑precision motion control performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design 3D mechatronic sub‑assemblies using precision linear motion technology.
• Define requirements, functional performance characteristics and design concepts for semiconductor wafer handling systems.
• Select, integrate and optimise standard components such as linear guides, screw drives, servo motors and encoders.
• Conduct feasibility studies, prototype development and validation testing.
• Guide the transition of designs to volume production, including Bill of Materials creation.
• Collaborate with global hardware, software and controls engineers, suppliers, procurement and manufacturing teams.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in mechatronic design for automation or semiconductor equipment.
• Proven ability to manage product ownership from design to serial production.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with prototype testing and validation.
