Tax Manager

About the role

The Tax Manager will lead Huawei Romania’s tax function, ensuring full compliance with Romanian tax legislation and internal policies. This position works closely with business units and external advisors to manage tax risks and support the company’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all tax affairs for Huawei Romania, including VAT, Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Withholding Tax (WHT) and SAF‑T filings.
• Prepare and submit accurate tax calculations and returns in accordance with local regulations.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors, overseeing their work and ensuring timely delivery.
• Maintain and update internal tax procedures, manuals and compliance documentation.
• Monitor legislative changes, communicate updates to relevant stakeholders, and adjust processes accordingly.
• Maintain the Transfer Pricing framework, preparing local files and supporting OECD‑aligned documentation.
• Lead tax audits and inspections, managing risks proactively.
• Review contracts for tax clauses and provide advisory solutions to business teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a tax advisor or in‑house tax professional.
• Strong knowledge of VAT, CIT, WHT, tax compliance and international tax principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Highly organized, able to plan and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
