Systems Software Engineer (Rust, Security)

About the role

Join NXP's Systems Enablement Team in EMEA to design and develop secure, customer‑specific embedded applications using Rust and C. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to deliver robust solutions and showcase platform capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded applications and reference designs for strategic customers.
• Investigate, debug and resolve complex software and hardware issues.
• Collaborate with sales to secure design wins and create demonstration platforms.
• Produce high‑quality technical documentation such as application notes and white papers.
• Deliver technical presentations and provide expert guidance throughout the customer development journey.

Required profile

• 3+ years of embedded software development experience with strong C and/or Rust background.
• Solid understanding of embedded security concepts and secure system design.
• Hands‑on experience with RTOS and/or Linux‑based embedded systems.
• Proven ability to debug complex issues across software, firmware and hardware.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, fluent in English.
