Site Reliability Engineer – Core Software Engineering Services

About the role

Garmin is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join the Core Software Engineering Services team in Cluj-Napoca. The role focuses on building and maintaining reliable CI/CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring solutions for internal tools.

Key responsibilities

• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) for product teams.
• Automate operational tasks, system maintenance, and configuration management.
• Administer and optimize Jenkins or other automation servers.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and testing solutions (Zabbix, Grafana, Kibana).
• Perform root cause analysis, capacity planning, backup management, and scaling strategies.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in peer code reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Release Engineer.
• Strong hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools, Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux/Windows server administration.
• Proficiency in scripting with Linux Shell or Python.
• Experience with monitoring tools and Agile collaboration.
