ServiceNow Developer/Engineer

About the role

The ServiceNow DevOps Engineer will administer, maintain and continuously improve the ServiceNow platform, covering ITSM, HRSD and portal modules. Working within the DevOps team and alongside the Platform Delivery team, the role ensures smooth software development, releases and change management while providing Level 2 end‑user support.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support the ServiceNow platform and Service Portal.
• Monitor service levels, platform performance and health; identify bottlenecks and implement tuning.
• Provide Level 2 incident resolution and service‑request handling.
• Manage Change Management processes, coordinate stakeholder approvals and minimise service disruption.
• Plan, schedule and execute platform releases, updates and security patches with rollback procedures.
• Maintain existing internal services and develop new ones such as access requests and group configurations.
• Develop, test and deploy minor enhancements and fixes in alignment with the Platform Delivery team.
• Support handover from DevOps to Operations for completed project deliveries.
• Manage user accounts and permissions based on incidents or service requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Computer Science.
• Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
• Minimum 3 years of ServiceNow platform administration, Service Portal configuration and reporting/dashboard creation.
• At least 2 years of ServiceNow development experience (Flow Designer, JavaScript).
• 3 years of hands‑on experience with ServiceNow ITSM.
• 2 years of ServiceNow customization (forms, workflows, business rules).
