Senior Software Quality Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Software Quality Engineer you will partner with the development team to ensure the highest quality of Bosch Service Solutions' software products. You will design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test suites that cover functional, security, and performance aspects.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers to improve application functionality and reliability.
• Create detailed test cases from requirements, bugs, and user stories.
• Execute manual and automated tests (integration, regression, black‑box, UI, security, customer acceptance).
• Analyze, document, and report defects in Jira with clear reproduction steps and logs.
• Perform routine inspections, exploratory testing, and security assessments.
• Advocate for quality by challenging unclear or incomplete requirements.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of REST‑API concepts and testing.
• Experience writing clear test plans and test cases.
• Proficiency with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Hands‑on experience with automated test frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jenkins, JMeter).
• Familiarity with debugging tools (Jest, Mocha, Chrome/Firefox DevTools).
• Solid scripting skills in JavaScript or Python.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and Atlassian toolchain (Jira, Confluence).
• Testing certification (ISTQB or equivalent) is a plus.
