Senior Project Manager Energy

About the role

Ramboll invites applications for a Senior Project Manager Energy position in Bucharest. You will lead and manage energy-transition projects in Romania, working closely with clients, stakeholders and internal teams to develop sustainable and innovative solutions that support the energy transition.

Key responsibilities

• Build, lead and manage projects and teams related to the energy transition in Romania, including renewable energy sources, P2X, energy efficiency and energy storage solutions.
• Identify new clients, partners and opportunities.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders and internal teams to deliver sustainable solutions.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
• Contribute to strategies, energy audits, conceptual studies, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies and other client deliverables.
• Identify and manage project risks and opportunities, and provide technical expertise and guidance to clients and stakeholders.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and industry partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in the energy sector on international projects (e.g. funded by EBRD, World Bank).
• Solid experience in hydro, thermal and renewable energy projects.
• Solid project management experience, preferably in the energy sector; an international project management certificate is required.
• Knowledge of energy-transition technologies and policies.
• Fluent English.

Required skills

• Strong communication, leadership, negotiation and team management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
