Senior Financial Auditor

About the role

PwC’s EMEA Acceleration Centre is looking for a Senior Financial Auditor to join its multinational audit teams. You will work on complex, cross‑border engagements for clients in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands and other EMEA countries while remaining based in Bucharest.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with PwC network firms and EMEA AC colleagues on financial audit engagements.
• Perform financial statement review procedures in line with auditing standards and PwC methodology.
• Execute advanced audit procedures on complex statement areas, including policy reviews, detailed testing, and qualitative evaluations.
• Delegate tasks, coach junior team members, and review their work.
• Stay current with changes in audit methodologies, technologies, and client requirements.
• Communicate effectively with engagement teams, internal stakeholders, and clients, handling risk escalation and issue resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in financial audit.
• Proficiency in business English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication and project‑management abilities.
• Adaptability to a fast‑changing regulatory environment and a commitment to continuous learning.
