Senior DevOps Engineer - FX Swaps Clearing Platform

About the role

DXC Luxoft is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer in Bucharest for a mission-critical FX Swaps clearing platform. The project delivers atomic processing of swap packages in a highly regulated, low-latency environment (SLA ≤10 seconds, EMIR compliance) and will move from on-premises to AWS (multi-AZ, multi-region). The DevOps function ensures high availability, automation, continuous delivery and operational resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab and related tools; extend and replicate them for new services and repositories.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Ansible or equivalent.
• Manage and optimise deployments on on-prem Red Hat VMs and evolving cloud platforms.
• Maintain monitoring, alerting and observability to meet SLAs, and support HA and disaster recovery in line with LSEG resilience standards.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams on continuous testing, integration and delivery, and support secure, compliant deployments.
• Support performance, capacity and non-functional testing environments, and integration environments with MQ-based messaging (XML APIs).
• Take part in sprint planning, retrospectives and stand-ups as part of a Scrum team.
• Provide production support, release coordination and go-live support, including weekend and night coverage, and hypercare up to 3 days after go-live.
• Contribute to readiness for cloud migration and hybrid architectures.

Required profile

• Strong DevOps experience (10+ years preferred).
• Experience managing Linux/Red Hat environments and deployment automation, release management and rollback strategies.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging and alerting, and of HA, DR and resilience engineering.
• Familiarity with database environments (Oracle) and integration pipelines, and experience in Agile/Scrum within regulated SDLCs.
• Understanding of security and compliance in financial systems.
• English at C1 level.

Required skills

• Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD; Ansible or equivalent.
• Hands-on use of AI tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot) for engineering tasks.
• Nice to have: AWS, Azure or GCP exposure, Prometheus, ELK, Datadog, HazelCast, Java/Spring Boot deployment, MQ, EMIR knowledge.
