Senior Data Modeler – Semiconductor Manufacturing

About the role

Bosch Service Solutions in Timișoara is seeking a Senior Data Modeler to shape the data architecture for semiconductor manufacturing. You will work with cross‑functional teams to create, maintain, and govern data models that support critical business processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models for semiconductor manufacturing data.
• Document data assets, metadata and data lineage in the enterprise data catalog.
• Query relational databases and extract metadata to keep documentation up‑to‑date.
• Define and maintain business terms and a business glossary together with domain experts.
• Ensure compliance with corporate data standards, governance, security requirements and SEMI industry standards.
• Conduct structured reviews of data models and metadata with technical and business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align data models with evolving business processes.
• Prepare and deliver presentations and workshops on data cataloging, modeling and governance.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert, providing guidance and support to project teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality, metadata management and enterprise data architecture.

Required profile

• Fluent English (mandatory); German is a plus.
• University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science or a related field.
• Several years of professional experience in data modeling, data architecture or similar roles.
• Strong hands‑on SQL skills and experience querying relational databases.
• Solid understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling methodologies.
• Experience with enterprise data cataloging and modeling tools (e.g., Informatica EDC, Informatica IDMC, Steady, Stardog).
• Good knowledge of data governance, data quality, metadata management and data security principles.
• Experience in regulated industries; knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and SEMI standards is advantageous.
• Analytical thinking, structured problem‑solving and excellent communication skills.
