Senior C++ Embedded Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior C++ Embedded Software Engineer to join Bosch Engineering Center Cluj. You will develop, integrate and validate embedded software for connected vehicle platforms, enabling secure communication, over‑the‑air updates and remote diagnostics.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain C++ embedded software components, applying design patterns and debugging techniques.
• Integrate software with ECUs and in‑vehicle networks (CAN, Ethernet, etc.) and implement connectivity features such as Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth and cellular.
• Ensure end‑to‑end communication between vehicle systems and cloud/back‑end services.
• Apply automotive protocols (CAN, J1939, UDS, DoIP, SOME/IP, diagnostics, Automotive Ethernet) within complex E/E architectures.
• Develop and troubleshoot software in Linux environments, including kernel, libraries and TPM.
• Design service‑oriented solutions using IPC technologies (D‑Bus, gRPC, MQTT, HTTP, sockets, pipes, queues).
• Automate build, test and integration processes with Python and Shell scripting.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in embedded software development for automotive applications.
• Strong knowledge of C++ and Linux system programming.
• Hands‑on experience with automotive communication protocols and in‑vehicle networks.
• Ability to work on complex, safety‑critical systems and deliver high‑quality code.
