Security Forces C4I Technician

About the role

The Security Forces C4I Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing C4I systems used by Security Forces. The role includes managing equipment access, accountability, and providing technical expertise on hardware and software issues.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair complete C4I electronic systems, including Tactical Communication, Intelligence, Reconnaissance, Surveillance & Navigation, Counter Radio Frequency Warfare, and IED defeat systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, reconstitution inspections, and repair procedures to return equipment to serviceable condition.
• Order parts for mid‑level repairs and ensure secure storage and accountability of all electronic equipment.
• Prepare and inspect assets for shipment and conduct system testing to evaluate performance.
• Monitor vehicle mechanics work near sensitive equipment and provide safety training as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in Computer Science or IT preferred.
• Minimum 2 years field experience as a C4I Senior Electronics Technician or supervisor.
• Valid driver’s license (home country and ability to obtain host‑nation license).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance (US citizenship required).
• Physically capable of lifting/pushing/pulling at least 50 lb and willing to work in remote, potentially harsh environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Extensive knowledge of PCs, network and communications systems.
• Experience with fiber cable testing and repair, and operation of cable/connector test equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for electronic, electrical, and communication connections.
