SAP Basis Administrator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to lead the administration, optimisation and continuous improvement of our SAP landscape. The role is based on‑site in Bucharest and involves close collaboration with developers, functional consultants, infrastructure teams and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, maintain and optimise SAP ECC 6 environments.
• Install, configure, patch and upgrade SAP systems.
• Monitor system health, performance and availability, implementing improvements as needed.
• Manage backups, recovery procedures and environment refreshes.
• Administer SAP users, authorisations and security.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and coordinate with SAP and external vendors.
• Maintain technical documentation and share knowledge across the team.
• Act as technical lead, working closely with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of SAP Basis administration experience.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience with SAP ECC 6.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
