QNX Engineer

About the role

Accenture Industry X is looking for a QNX Engineer to design and maintain QNX‑based platforms for automotive software‑defined vehicle solutions. The role focuses on integrating board support packages, services and middleware while ensuring reliability, performance and security.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain QNX‑based platforms, integrating BSPs, services and middleware.
• Develop services using QNX IPC, resource managers and timers.
• Integrate BSPs, drivers and startup scripts; optimise boot time and footprint.
• Configure scheduling, priorities and interrupt handling to achieve determinism.
• Perform tracing and profiling using tools such as Tracealyzer, System Profiler and tracelogger.
• Apply security mechanisms including capabilities, sandboxing and file permissions.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of embedded QNX development experience.
• Strong knowledge of QNX Neutrino RTOS.
• Proficiency in advanced C/C++ programming, POSIX APIs, multithreading and lock‑free patterns.
• Experience with drivers, device trees and board support packages.
• Familiarity with tracing and profiling tools (Tracealyzer, System Profiler, tracelogger).
• Understanding of basic security concepts (capabilities, sandboxing, file permissions).
