Purchasing Project Manager

About the role

As a Purchasing Project Manager at Bosch Group in Blaj, you will act as the central liaison between the Purchasing organisation and internal functions such as Production, Technical, Sales, and the Mobility Business Unit. You will drive engineering change initiatives, supplier alignment and cost‑reduction projects while supporting new product introductions.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact between Purchasing, Production, Technical, Sales and Mobility Business Unit functions.
• Initiate, coordinate and present Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) from agreement to implementation.
• Manage supplier alignment to define specifications and achieve quality, cost and delivery targets.
• Source, nominate and expand the supplier base for low‑ to medium‑complexity components.
• Oversee new product introduction activities, including sample ordering and testing coordination.
• Plan project timelines and manage economic aspects such as target pricing and cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Coordinate material‑cost reduction projects and facilitate technical discussions between Quality, Engineering and suppliers.
• Provide quality support for Preventive Quality Planning and related activities.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience in purchasing, supplier management or project coordination within an industrial or automotive environment.
• Strong analytical abilities and a results‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with cross‑functional teams and external suppliers.
