About the role

Bosch Engineering Center Cluj offers a PhD scholarship for students to work on cutting‑edge software and hardware research in autonomous and connected mobility. The scholarship provides a monthly stipend of 2000 RON and the opportunity to collaborate with Bosch experts on AI‑driven automotive projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research on advanced neural‑network training strategies for autonomous systems.
• Optimize neural‑network models for embedded applications.
• Develop end‑to‑end artificial‑intelligence solutions for autonomous vehicles.
• Design AI‑based algorithms for optimal PCB component placement considering thermal, mechanical and EMC constraints.
• Integrate electronic modules into mechanical components using advanced manufacturing techniques.
• Produce dedicated hardware systems for specific automotive functions and support prototype validation.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a full‑time doctoral program (2nd or 3rd year).
• Strong academic record with publications or conference contributions.
• Research interests aligned with one of the five proposed topics in software or hardware.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team at Bosch Engineering Center Cluj.
