Payment Accountant Specialist

About the role

Huawei Europe is seeking a Payment Accountant Specialist to join its finance team in Bucharest. The role focuses on processing and managing payments for multiple subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely resolution of issues.

Key responsibilities

• Process payments for various subsidiaries via SWIFT or e‑banking platforms.
• Execute high‑quality payments promptly and accurately.
• Identify, analyse and resolve rejected or problematic payments, addressing root causes.
• Detect errors, troubleshoot issues during payment processing and reporting.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and provide documentation for bank inquiries and internal audits.
• Propose and implement improvements to the payment process.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of supplier payment processes and invoice registration.
• Experience in payments, payroll or banking is an asset.
• University degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Advanced written and spoken English.
• High attention to detail, strong problem‑solving abilities and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Team‑oriented mindset with good communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficient use of MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with Oracle (preferred).
