MES Functional Consultant – Manufacturing Execution Systems

About the role

The MES Functional Consultant will support end‑to‑end implementations of Manufacturing Execution Systems for Accenture Industry X’s global manufacturing clients. The role focuses on the early phases of projects, including assessment, requirements gathering, solution design and process modelling.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the functional lead within the technical delivery team.
• Gather clear customer requirements within the defined project scope.
• Document conceptual, logical and technical architecture for each project.
• Define and execute test plans for designed solutions.
• Provide training to customers on their new MES solutions.
• Maintain ongoing interaction with client teams to build long‑lasting relationships.
• Collaborate in a multicultural, team‑oriented environment.
• Undertake short‑term, project‑based travel when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business informatics or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Requirements Engineer, Product Owner or in a manufacturing shop‑floor role.
• Functional knowledge of production, quality, maintenance or inventory processes.
• Experience with object‑oriented modelling, UML and BPMN.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and presentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; additional languages are a plus.
