Medical Software Engineer

About the role

Siemens Healthineers is looking for a Medical Software Engineer to support the design and implementation of interfaces in a medical environment. The role covers consulting and pre-sales, project management, development, support and mentoring within an international setting.

Key responsibilities

• Consulting and pre-sales: support sales teams and customers in identifying interoperability solutions, draft detailed solution proposals and ensure feasibility.
• Project management: scope, plan and monitor implementation in an international environment and follow agreed deadlines.
• Development: technically develop, implement, test and accept interface solutions following healthcare communication standards such as HL7, DICOM, FHIR and APIs, and build customer-specific software features where required.
• Support: maintain and support customers and their interface solutions in production.
• Mentoring: share experience and support other team members.

Required profile

• Solid professional experience in information technology.
• Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent skills.
• Able to handle difficult internal and external customer situations, including troubleshooting.
• Solid knowledge of technical writing and communication.
• Solid English skills (EU B2).

Required skills

• Interoperability in healthcare, including common standards such as HL7, DICOM and FHIR.
• Project management skills.
• Scripting skills such as TSQL, JavaScript and VB.
