Mathematics Expert – Remote Contract

About the role

We are looking for a Mathematics Expert to design rigorous, deterministic math problems that challenge state‑of‑the‑art AI models. The work is fully remote, part‑time (20 hours/week) with an immediate start.

Key responsibilities

• Create advanced mathematical problems for AI training and evaluation, ensuring each has a single verifiable answer.
• Write complete, verified solutions and document the reasoning process in clear English.
• Develop deterministic problems that test deep mathematical reasoning rather than memorisation.
• When appropriate, use Python or specialised tools to build computational workflows.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field.
• Strong research or industry experience in mathematical modelling, proof‑based reasoning, applied or computational mathematics.
• Excellent attention to detail and technical writing skills in English.

Required skills

• Python programming (numpy, scipy, pandas or similar libraries).
• Solid understanding of algorithms, numerical methods and computational approaches.
• Ability to design original, difficult problems that mirror real mathematical workflows.
