Manager, Strategy and Solutions, Financial Institutions

About the role

The Strategy and Solutions Manager is the primary partner to the Frontline sales team, guiding the design and delivery of Mastercard’s business solutions for financial institution clients. Acting as the Business Solution Architect, the role curates product bundles, ensures relevance, and drives differentiation to increase market share and revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the Mastercard capabilities expert for the assigned financial‑institution segment, understanding the value chain, trends and client needs.
• Collaborate with Frontline sales teams to identify opportunities, develop needs‑based solutions and create account plans.
• Lead the development of complex, customized value propositions, coordinating cross‑product “squads” and engaging product, service and technical specialists.
• Partner with Account Managers and Business Development Managers to quantify and communicate the business value of integrated solutions.
• Produce business requirements documents in partnership with product specialists and technical architects.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing across Customer Solution Centers and other Solution Architects to leverage expertise.
• Identify and create innovative solutions for the segment, proactively building offerings that address emerging market demands.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of the financial‑institution value chain and Mastercard’s product portfolio, services and corporate strategy.
• Proven ability to work closely with sales teams, translate client needs into tailored solutions and articulate value propositions.
• Experience coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams and managing complex solutioning processes.
• Strong communication skills to “tell the story” to clients and internal stakeholders.
