Lead/Senior QA Automation Engineer (FX Swaps Clearing)

About the role

DXC Luxoft Financial Services is building a new engineering squad in Bucharest to deliver a Financial Markets Clearing Platform for FX Swaps, a highly regulated, low-latency system with strict requirements on resilience, performance and availability. You will join a squad of Java developers and QA automation engineers working in 2-week sprints within an Agile Scrum environment, covering the full testing lifecycle from test design through automation, execution and production validation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement test automation frameworks for the FX Swaps clearing platform
• Develop and maintain automated functional and integration tests (API and microservices)
• Validate real-time trade processing workflows
• Cover non-functional testing (performance, resilience, reliability)
• Collaborate with developers to ensure testability and quality-by-design
• Execute and maintain regression test suites and CI/CD test pipelines
• Contribute to test strategy, test plans and test documentation
• Work with tools such as Cucumber, Orca and open-source testing frameworks
• Support integration testing with external FX venues (e.g. FX Matching)
• Take part in Agile ceremonies and support production validation, releases and post-go-live activities

Required profile

• Strong experience in test automation (Java-based or similar)
• Experience in functional and integration testing, and knowledge of non-functional testing
• Experience in Agile/Scrum teams
• Nice to have: experience in capital markets / FX and exposure to distributed systems or cloud environments

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with Cucumber or BDD frameworks
• Testing of REST APIs and microservices architectures
• Understanding of databases (Oracle) and SQL
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab)
• English at B2 Upper Intermediate level
