IT System Engineer – Automation & Software Development

About the role

Join Bosch's Cluj Plant as an IT System Engineer, working on cutting‑edge automation solutions for automotive manufacturing. You will develop software for machine controls, install new equipment, and support production lines with PLC programming.

Key responsibilities

• Develop software for automated machine controls.
• Receive, install, and commission new equipment systems.
• Diagnose and resolve faults in programs and automated systems.
• Support manufacturing sections and implement PLC changes on production lines.
• Participate in problem‑solving, resolution activities, and new project initiatives.

Required profile

• University degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of programming experience.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Required skills

• Structured text programming (OpCon Classic, Nexeed Control Plus, Rextroth Indralogic, Beckhoff TwinCat).
• Experience with Bosch and Beckhoff PLCs, axis controllers, drive control, fieldbus systems, and PILZ safety systems.
• Automation experience in series production for the automotive industry.
• Good level of English.
