Fuels Technician

About the role

The Fuels Technician is responsible for efficiently fueling assigned equipment, performing timely maintenance, and ensuring production meets service schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and inspect a range of fuel system assets including FOR​CE units, refueling units, TASS, pumping carts, fuel bladders, and pipeline kits.
• Conduct periodic inspections, 90‑ and 180‑day inspections, and limited technical inspections in compliance with regulations, AFIs, and technical orders.
• Adjust, repair, and replace pumps, valves, meters, filters, water separators, and related components; perform hydrostatic hose testing and calibrations.
• Maintain the shelf‑life program for all parts, perform PMIs and function checks, and manage inventory of kits and spare parts.
• Prepare assets for shipment and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience with fuel delivery systems and related equipment.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and operate machinery such as fuel trucks and forklifts.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 lb occasionally and operate motor vehicles.
• Authorized to work in the host country and proficient in reading, speaking, and writing English.

Required skills

• Installation, operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of fuel delivery systems.
• Knowledge of pumps, control valves, meters, strainers, filters, water separators, and electrical wiring.
• Hydrostatic hose testing, gauge calibration, and shelf‑life management for fuel system components.
• Completion of Fuels Apprentice Course or equivalent certification (e.g., CPJ).
