DevOps & Site Reliability Engineer (GCP)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps & Site Reliability Engineer to own and evolve our Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. You will work closely with development, QA and IT teams to automate operations, ensure high availability, and support the growth of our platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage scalable infrastructure on GCP, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run and GKE.
• Implement container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Build and maintain CI‑CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Google Cloud Run.
• Set up monitoring, logging and alerting with Elasticsearch, Kibana, Prometheus and New Relic.
• Administer and optimise MongoDB databases, including backup and disaster‑recovery strategies.
• Apply security best practices and ensure GDPR compliance.
• Automate provisioning and configuration with Terraform or Ansible and develop custom scripts in Python or Bash.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams, providing technical guidance and incident response.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer.
• Proven expertise with Docker, Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform services.
• Hands‑on experience with Elasticsearch and MongoDB.
• Strong scripting abilities in Python or Bash.
