Data Engineer Consultant – Databricks & SQL

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer Consultant to join Bosch Service Solutions in Timișoara. You will act as a technical guide for domain and decentralized development teams, ensuring high‑quality data is available for analytics and business processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support and empower development teams, gathering feedback to improve the data platform.
• Leverage expertise in Databricks and SQL to guarantee data quality and reliability.
• Guide teams on data‑engineering best practices and promote a data‑driven culture.
• Design, build, and orchestrate robust data pipelines for analytics and machine‑learning workloads.
• Apply CI/CD and DevOps principles to create automated, scalable data workflows.
• Monitor data quality and ensure transparency across the organization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and IT teams, contributing to the data community.
• Continuously evaluate and improve existing solutions with modern technologies and best practices.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of professional experience in data engineering or related fields.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a comparable discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Databricks, data modeling, lakehouse architecture, Python, Spark and SQL.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git or other version‑control systems; Databricks Asset Bundles a plus.
• Proficiency in data pipelining, orchestration, and cluster management; dbt experience is a bonus.
• Excellent English communication skills; German is a significant advantage.
