Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

Join a global sustainability leader as a Cyber Security Analyst, protecting critical infrastructure for a diversified producer of forest products, bioproducts, and green electricity. This fully remote position works on staggered hours to align with the Vancouver headquarters and supports a company‑wide cybersecurity program.

Key responsibilities

• Operate security tools, create and manage security processes, and support the overall cybersecurity program.
• Monitor security events, detect and respond to alerts, and analyze logs for threats and anomalies.
• Coordinate cyber incident response, work with external partners, conduct investigations, and perform forensic analysis.
• Manage the full vulnerability management lifecycle, from assessment to remediation coordination.
• Ensure security of on‑premises and cloud environments, implementing cloud‑aware security architecture.
• Assess cybersecurity exposures, produce detailed investigation reports, and develop KPIs and cyber‑related reporting.
• Support security awareness programs, develop training campaigns, and contribute to policy development and enforcement.
• Stay current with threat intelligence, analyze industry trends, and evaluate potential impacts.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of proven cybersecurity experience in operational environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong communication and coordination abilities to work across IT and business teams.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Germany or North America.
