Credit & Collection Senior Analyst

About the role

Provident Romania is looking for a Credit & Collection Senior Analyst in Bucharest. You will help shape and optimise the company's lending strategies, supporting responsible growth, strong portfolio performance and fair customer outcomes while balancing business objectives and credit risk.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement credit strategies for lending products to support sustainable portfolio growth and risk management.
• Monitor portfolio performance and customer acquisition trends to spot opportunities, risks and areas for improvement.
• Design and enhance customer segmentation approaches and contribute to new lending products.
• Ensure compliance with credit policies, regulatory requirements and best practice guidelines.
• Support new risk strategies, scorecards, models and decision-making frameworks to improve credit quality.
• Maintain and improve application evaluation systems used across lending operations.
• Turn analytical insights into actionable recommendations for commercial and risk decisions.
• Work with cross-functional teams so credit strategies deliver fair and positive customer outcomes.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Data Science or a related field.
• Experience in credit risk management, credit strategy, data analytics or portfolio management.
• Solid understanding of lending products, credit policy frameworks and risk assessment principles.
• Experience in consumer lending or financial services is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to spot trends and anomalies in data.
• Experience with scorecards, predictive models, segmentation techniques or decisioning systems.
• Ability to turn technical concepts into clear business recommendations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
